Penguin Almond Group (企鹅杏仁) was a major Chinese healthcare services company formed in August 2018 through the strategic merger of Tencent-backed Penguin Doctor (企鹅医生) and Almond Doctor (杏仁医生). The initial input 'Penguin Almond Group' and domain 'xingren.com' refer to this merged entity and one of its predecessor companies, respectively. The merger created a comprehensive online-to-offline healthcare platform, combining Almond Doctor's network of 430,000+ doctors and offline clinics with Penguin Doctor's online service products and Tencent's backing. The new group provided services including online consultations, a network of physical clinics and day surgery centers, and health management systems across major Chinese cities like Beijing, Shanghai, and Shenzhen. In April 2019, the group raised $250 million in a funding round that valued it at over $1 billion. In 2021, Penguin Almond Group was rebranded to 'Future Doctor' (未来医生) and was subsequently absorbed by its sister company, Medlinker (医联), as part of a broader corporate restructuring.
