Which Caplight plan is right for me?
Basic is for company employees and individual investors who want pricing context on private companies and the ability to buy or sell their pre-IPO stock through Caplight. Pro is the full platform for professional investors, brokers, and operators actively transacting in private markets — adds the live order book, sourcing tools, full company and investor coverage, MarketPrice, and signals. API & Integrations is for data teams and AI agents that need programmatic access via REST API, MCP server, or bulk delivery. Many customers run Pro and API & Integrations together.
How much does each plan cost?

What’s the difference between Pro and API & Integrations?
Pro gives your team access to the full Caplight web application — search, watchlists, the live order book, trading workflow, and the company and investor databases. API & Integrations is the same underlying data exposed programmatically through a REST API, an MCP server for AI agents, and bulk delivery via FTP or S3. Most teams that want both buy them together.
Can I upgrade, downgrade, or change plans later?
Yes. Plans can be adjusted at any time — most customers start with one tier and add another as their workflow grows (for example, adding API & Integrations on top of Pro once an engineering team gets involved). Reach out and we’ll handle the transition.
Is there a trial or evaluation period?

What is Caplight MarketPrice?
MarketPrice is Caplight's daily reference price for actively traded private companies. It blends recent trade prints, live bid/offer activity, and other observable inputs into a single time-stamped price per company. It’s included on Pro for actively traded names and available across all coverage on API & Integrations.
