The London Lions are a professional basketball team based in Stratford, East London, England. Founded in 1977 as the Hemel Hempstead Lakers, the club has a long history involving several relocations and name changes, including being known as the Milton Keynes Lions before moving to London in 2012. The team, which includes both men's and women's squads, competes in the top-tier Super League Basketball and in European competitions. Their home venue is the Copper Box Arena in Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park. In August 2024, the club was acquired by the Lithuanian tech company Tesonet, following financial difficulties under the previous ownership of 777 Partners. The women's team notably won the EuroCup Women title in 2024.
