Company Overview
PokerBaazi is an Indian online poker platform founded in 2014. It is the flagship product of its parent company, Baazi Games (legal name Moonshine Technology Pvt Ltd), which also operates other skill-gaming brands like CardBaazi and SportsBaazi. The platform offers various poker games, including Texas Hold'em and Omaha, and grew to become one of India's largest poker platforms with over 2 million users. In September 2024, publicly listed gaming firm Nazara Technologies announced a major investment to acquire a 47.7% stake in Moonshine Technology. However, as of August 2025, PokerBaazi has paused its real-money gaming operations in compliance with India's new "Promotion and Regulation of Online Gaming Bill, 2025". This led to significant layoffs in September 2025. The company's vision has been to establish poker as a recognized sport and game of skill in India.
