AO StartUps is a pioneering sports and entertainment tech accelerator program powered by Tennis Australia and the Australian Open. Launched in 2022, the program supports startups by providing a unique opportunity to build, test, or pilot their technologies on a world stage. It focuses on verticals such as player performance, health technologies, fan engagement, and event operations. Participating companies gain access to real-world testing environments, mentorship, and commercial pathways. The program is a key part of Tennis Australia's innovation and venture capital strategy, and successful participants may receive investment from Tennis Australia's venture capital fund, initially Wildcard Ventures and later AO Ventures.
