Army Small Business Innovation Research | Small Business Technology Transfer Program
Overview
The Army Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) and Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR) programs are congressionally mandated, awards-based initiatives that fund research and development by small businesses to address critical Army technology needs. The program's mission is to align innovative small businesses with U.S. Army priorities to deliver new solutions for soldiers. It is executed under the Assistant Secretary of the Army for Acquisition, Logistics, and Technology (ASA(ALT)). The program is structured in three phases: Phase I for feasibility studies, Phase II for prototype development, and Phase III for commercialization with non-SBIR/STTR funding.
