Australian Retirement Trust
Overview
Australian Retirement Trust (ART) is an Australian superannuation fund, equivalent to a pension fund, that was formed in February 2022 through the merger of Sunsuper and QSuper. It is the second-largest superannuation fund in Australia, managing retirement savings for over 2.4 million members. As an industry fund, it operates for the benefit of its members, reinvesting profits back into the fund. ART invests across a wide range of asset classes, including public equities, private equity, infrastructure, property, and private credit, with a significant focus on unlisted assets to generate long-term returns. The fund makes direct investments and also co-invests as a limited partner in consortiums, such as its investment in FiberLight alongside Morrison & Co.
