Azolla Ventures is an early-stage venture capital firm, launched by Prime Coalition in 2021, that invests in transformative climate solutions and breakthrough technologies. The firm prioritizes impact, focusing on ventures with the potential for gigaton-scale CO2e reductions by 2050. It utilizes a blended capital structure, combining catalytic, philanthropic capital with traditional, market-rate investment dollars to support companies that are often overlooked by conventional investors. The firm's investment thesis requires that portfolio companies meet three criteria: potential for significant climate impact, additionality (i.e., the need for catalytic capital), and strong commercial potential. Azolla Ventures manages the $239 million Azolla Fund I and the $50 million Prime Impact Fund.
