Overview
BBQ Capital is a venture capital firm that invests in companies from the earliest stages (pre-seed and seed) through to pre-IPO. The firm's mission is to support ambitious entrepreneurs by providing capital, time, and first-hand entrepreneurial knowledge. It originated from a series of casual barbecue gatherings in San Francisco in 2018 designed to connect founders and investors. The firm invests across a wide range of industries including software, SaaS, fintech, AI, and biotech. Through a separate vehicle called BBQ Opportunities, it also invests larger checks in more mature companies from Series B onwards.
