Overview
BBVA Spark is a business unit of BBVA, launched in July 2022, dedicated to providing a comprehensive range of financial services for innovative, high-growth technology companies. It offers standard banking products as well as specialized financing such as venture debt and growth loans. The unit supports companies from their initial stages through to becoming large corporations. In addition to direct financing for companies, BBVA Spark also invests in venture capital funds. It operates in Spain, Mexico, Colombia, Argentina, and the United Kingdom. As of early 2025, it has been integrated into BBVA's Corporate & Investment Banking (CIB) division.
