IDB Lab

IDB Lab is the innovation and venture capital arm of the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) Group, founded in 1993. Its mission is to improve lives in Latin America and the Caribbean by fostering innovation and entrepreneurship to drive social inclusion, environmental action, and productivity. IDB Lab mobilizes financing, knowledge, and connections to support early-stage ventures, new technologies, and innovative markets, with a focus on benefiting poor and vulnerable populations. It invests directly in startups and also acts as a limited partner in regional venture capital funds.
