Boston Impact Initiative

Boston Impact Initiative (BII) is a nonprofit impact investing fund focused on economic and racial justice, working to close the racial wealth divide in Massachusetts and the Northeast. BII deploys integrated capital—a mix of financial (equity, debt, and grants), knowledge, and social capital—to support social enterprises and community-controlled real estate owned by entrepreneurs of color. The firm also engages in field-building through educational programs for emerging fund managers to promote economic and racial justice within investment strategies. BII's first fund, a $7 million vehicle, was fully deployed, and it launched its second fund, BII Fund II, a $20 million fund, in 2022.
