British Business Investments

British Business Investments is the commercial subsidiary of the British Business Bank, the UK's state-owned economic development bank. Founded in 2014, it aims to increase the supply and diversity of finance for UK small and medium-sized businesses. It operates on a commercial basis, investing alongside private sector investors into a wide range of delivery partners, such as debt funds, asset finance providers, FinTech lenders, challenger banks, and venture capital fund-of-funds. It does not invest directly into SMEs, but rather provides capital to these intermediaries.
