Canal Ventures is a corporate venture capital (CVC) firm and a wholly-owned subsidiary of BIPROGY Inc. (formerly Nihon Unisys). It invests in seed and early-stage startups, primarily in the Digital Transformation (DX) domain, to create synergies with its parent company. The firm aims to accelerate digital transformation in Japan by fostering an ecosystem of startups, venture capitals, and accelerators. In addition to direct investments in startups, Canal Ventures also acts as a Limited Partner (LP) by investing in other VC funds.
