Overview

The Carbon to Value (C2V) Initiative is a multi-year collaboration and accelerator program founded in 2020 by the Urban Future Lab at NYU Tandon School of Engineering, Greentown Labs, and Fraunhofer USA. It is designed to create an innovation ecosystem for the commercialization of carbontech—technologies that capture, convert, and sequester carbon dioxide (CO₂) into valuable end products or services. The initiative supports cohorts of startups through a six-month program that provides mentorship, partnership opportunities with its Carbontech Leadership Council (CLC), and a $10,000 stipend without taking equity. Since its inception, its portfolio companies have raised over $580 million in follow-on funding.
