The Carnegie Mellon Portugal Program is an education, research, and innovation platform that connects Portuguese research institutions, universities, and companies in cooperation with Carnegie Mellon University (CMU) . The partnership, funded by the Fundação para a Ciência e a Tecnologia, fosters the development of an international ecosystem of talent development, knowledge creation, and innovation in emerging areas of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) . The program's mission is to place Portugal at the forefront of innovation in ICT by promoting an innovation ecosystem with a tight coupling between cutting-edge research, world-class graduate education, and highly innovative companies in the data-driven economy .
