Chinese Academy of Sciences Holdings Co., Ltd. (CAS Holdings) is a state-owned asset management company approved by the State Council of China. It was established to manage the commercial assets of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) and acts as a parent company to a large portfolio of state-owned enterprises. Since 2008, it has also operated as an institutional investor in private equity, managing several fund management companies. Its investments are focused on sectors including new-generation information technology, high-end equipment manufacturing, environmental protection, new materials, and life sciences. The company holds stakes in over 40 companies, including Lenovo's parent company, Legend Holdings.
