Overview

CCB Financial Assets Investment (also known as CCB Investment) is a wholly-owned subsidiary of China Construction Bank (CCB). It was established in July 2017 as the first market-oriented debt-for-equity swap implementation institution approved in China. The company's primary business is to conduct debt-for-equity swaps and related supporting activities, aiming to reduce corporate leverage and support structural economic reforms. It also engages in equity investments and is considered the investment arm of the CCB group for this purpose. As of the end of 2017, it had signed debt-for-equity framework agreements with 48 enterprises totaling 589.7 billion RMB.
