Chemovator

Chemovator is the business incubator and early-stage investor of the chemical company BASF. Founded in 2018, it provides a protected space to test and develop new business ideas, products, or services related to the chemical industry and turn them into scalable and investable business models. Initially focused on ideas from within BASF, Chemovator opened its program to external startups in May 2023. The firm supports early-stage, deep-tech ventures with funding, mentorship, and access to BASF's expertise and networks. Its investment focus includes sustainability, process optimization, research and service optimization, and next-generation materials.
