Overview
Climate Investment Funds is a multilateral climate finance mechanism established in 2008 that provides financing to developing and middle-income countries for climate change mitigation and adaptation. It is one of the world's largest such mechanisms, with over $12 billion in committed capital, and it operates through six major multilateral development banks. The fund is structured into two main arms: the Clean Technology Fund (CTF) and the Strategic Climate Fund (SCF).
