European Climate, Infrastructure and Environment Executive Agency

The European Climate, Infrastructure and Environment Executive Agency (CINEA) is an agency of the European Commission that manages funding programmes contributing to decarbonisation and sustainable growth, in support of the EU Green Deal. It is responsible for managing the entire grant cycle for EU programmes focused on transport, energy, climate action, environment, and maritime fisheries and aquaculture. For the 2021-2027 period, the agency manages a budget of over €55 billion to implement programmes such as the Connecting Europe Facility (CEF), Horizon Europe, the Innovation Fund, and the LIFE Programme.
