The firm was founded by Nishita Cummings and Leon Chen, who were previously Managing Partners at Kayne Partners, the growth capital arm of Kayne Anderson Capital Advisors. Composition Capital has a sub-advisory arrangement with Kayne Anderson to manage certain growth capital funds.
