CI Ventures

CI Ventures is the impact-first investment arm of Conservation International. It provides financing to nature-positive small- and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) to deliver biodiversity, climate, and livelihood outcomes. The fund provides loans, quasi-equity, and revenue-based financing to businesses operating in sectors such as sustainable agriculture, forestry, ecotourism, circular economy, and nature-positive materials in the forests, oceans, and grasslands where Conservation International works. It often uses philanthropic capital to de-risk investments in companies considered too early-stage or risky for traditional private-sector investors.
