Diaspora Angel Network

The Diaspora Angel Investor Network (DAIN) is a platform that mobilizes financial capital from angel investors in the U.S. and Africa to invest in startup companies in Africa. It was created by Venturelift Africa and its partners. DAIN identifies, mentors, and invests in high-growth potential, tech-enabled companies in the financial, consumer, healthcare, education, and creative sectors. The network also supports successful Diaspora entrepreneurs looking to expand into Africa. DAIN members are a consortium of investors, business leaders, and entrepreneurs in the U.S., including Diaspora members and allies. The network's stated purpose is to find, mentor, and fund talented entrepreneurs in Africa who are creating value through technology.
