Overview
The Defense Health Agency (DHA) is a joint, integrated combat support agency that enables the U.S. Army, U.S. Navy, and U.S. Air Force medical services to provide a medically ready force and ready medical force. The agency manages the Military Health System (MHS) and the TRICARE health plan, delivering healthcare to approximately 9.5 million beneficiaries worldwide. In its role as a combat support agency, DHA also funds and leads medical research, public health initiatives, and medical education programs to support its mission.
