Digital Catapult

Digital Catapult is the UK's national innovation agency for advanced digital technology, founded in 2013. As a non-profit entity backed by the UK government's Innovate UK, it functions as an accelerator and incubator. Its mission is to accelerate the adoption of emerging technologies like AI, immersive tech (AR/VR), 5G, and distributed systems to drive economic growth. It works with startups, industries, and academia by providing accelerator programmes, consultancy, and access to R&D and testbed facilities. While not a traditional investment fund, Digital Catapult makes direct investments into companies participating in its programmes, often through convertible loan notes funded by Innovate UK.
