Overview
The DMZ is a tech incubator and startup ecosystem at Toronto Metropolitan University that helps founders build, launch, and scale their businesses. It provides startups with access to customers, capital, industry experts, and a community of entrepreneurs. Founded in 2010, it was originally named the Digital Media Zone. The DMZ has a for-profit investment arm, DMZ Ventures, which launched a fund in 2024 to invest in pre-seed and seed-stage startups. The incubator's programs support early-stage companies with funding, mentorship, and resources.
