Dublin Business Innovation Centre (DBIC), which rebranded to Furthr in July 2022, is a public-private organization established in 1988 to support entrepreneurs in Ireland. It provides a range of services including consultancy, accelerator programs, and access to funding through its venture capital arm, Furthr VC (formerly DBIC Ventures). Furthr VC manages several funds, including the Ireland Smart Tech Fund, which was expanded to €32 million. The firm targets early-stage (Seed to Series A) B2B software and MedTech companies in Ireland. Historically, the organization has managed over €100 million in direct investments across various funds, including the AIB Seed Capital Fund, and through its management of the Halo Business Angel Network (HBAN).
