University of Dundee

The University of Dundee is a public research university that also functions as an active investment entity. It is recognized as a leading UK university for fostering and creating spin-out businesses from its research, particularly in the life sciences and technology sectors. This is managed through its Research and Innovation Services department. In the past, it co-launched the "University of Dundee Venture Fund LP" to provide direct seed funding to these spin-outs. Additionally, the university manages an endowment fund, valued at £34.4 million in 2023, which supports its academic and research programs. The management of this endowment, which acts as a Limited Partner (LP), was transitioned to Greenbank, an ethical and sustainable investment manager, in 2024.
