While its main role is investment promotion and industry development, it also functions as an investor through its dedicated corporate investment arm, EDBI, which was founded in 1991. EDBI is a global investor focusing on high-growth technology sectors, including Information & Communication Technology, Emerging Technology, and Healthcare, to support Singapore's economic growth.
