Overview
EIT Food is Europe's leading food innovation initiative, supported by the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT), a body of the European Union. Established in 2016, it functions as a pan-European Knowledge and Innovation Community (KIC) with the mission to make the food system more sustainable, healthy, and trusted. EIT Food invests in projects, organizations, and individuals, providing direct startup funding through equity, grants, and accelerator programs to scale agrifood startups and bring new technologies to market.
