ENS DAO is a decentralized autonomous organization that governs the Ethereum Name Service (ENS) protocol. It manages a community treasury funded by revenue from .eth name registrations. The DAO's primary function is to ensure the long-term viability of ENS and fund the continued development of the system. It also allocates capital to other public goods and projects within the broader Web3 and Ethereum ecosystem through grant programs. Funding decisions are made by elected 'stewards' and through votes by holders of the $ENS governance token.
