France 2030
Overview
France 2030 is a €54 billion national investment plan launched by the French government in October 2021 to sustainably transform key sectors of the economy, such as energy, automotive, aeronautics, and health, through innovation, industrialization, and research. The plan aims to position France as a future leader by focusing on 10 objectives, including developing small nuclear reactors, green hydrogen, decarbonizing industry, and producing biopharmaceuticals. 50% of its investments are dedicated to decarbonizing the economy and 50% to emerging, innovative players. The plan is overseen by the General Secretariat for Investment (SGPI) and implemented by state operators like Bpifrance, ADEME, and ANR.
