Gibson Brands, founded in 1894, is an American manufacturer of musical instruments, primarily guitars. Headquartered in Nashville, Tennessee, its portfolio includes brands like Gibson, Epiphone, Kramer, MESA/Boogie, and KRK Systems. While its main business is manufacturing, the company also makes strategic investments. In 2018, it was acquired by a group of investors led by private equity firm KKR after emerging from bankruptcy.
