Google for Startups
Overview
Google for Startups is a global initiative by Google, launched in 2011, to support startups through a variety of programs, physical campuses, and a global network. It provides startups with access to Google's products, experts, and best practices. The initiative runs several equity-free funding programs, such as the Black Founders Fund and Latino Founders Fund, which provide cash awards (grants) to support underrepresented entrepreneurs. In addition to non-dilutive funding, it offers accelerator programs, mentorship, and significant Google Cloud credits to participants. While distinct from Google's traditional VC arm (GV), some newer programs like the AI Futures Fund may also offer equity investment.
