Horizon Mutual Holdings Inc., established in December 2022, is a not-for-profit mutual holding company and the parent of Horizon Healthcare Services Inc. (d/b/a Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield of New Jersey). The holding company structure was created to provide increased flexibility for business diversification and to make investments in a range of health solutions companies. It is New Jersey's largest provider of healthcare coverage through its subsidiaries.
