Government of Japan

The Government of Japan is a sovereign government that directs national policy and engages in a wide range of investment, lending, and grant-making activities through various specialized state-owned and public-private entities. Its investment arms include the Government Pension Investment Fund (GPIF), the world's largest pension fund; the Japan Investment Corporation (JIC), a sovereign wealth fund focused on strategic growth investments; and the Development Bank of Japan (DBJ), which provides financing for industrial and infrastructure projects.
