Lorax Capital Partners (LCP) is an independent private equity firm based in Cairo, Egypt, focused on investing in small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the country. The firm was established in 2015 by a team of investment professionals. LCP seeks to invest in various sectors including consumer discretionary, consumer staples, information technology, financials, healthcare, industrials, and materials. The firm manages LCP Fund II, which had a first close of $142 million in September 2021 with a target of $250 million. Investors in its funds include development finance institutions like the EBRD, IFC, Proparco, and the EIB.
