Ministerio de Tecnologías de la Información y las Comunicaciones

The Ministry of Information Technologies and Communications (MinTIC) is a national ministry of the Colombian government responsible for overseeing and promoting the information and communication technologies (ICT) sector. It designs and promotes policies, plans, and projects to advance digital transformation and close the digital divide. The ministry operates numerous initiatives and provides funding, such as grants and forgivable loans, to citizens, entrepreneurs, and companies to strengthen the national ICT ecosystem. It is affiliated with the 'Fondo Único de Tecnologías de la Información y las Comunicaciones' (Single ICT Fund), a special administrative unit that finances ICT plans and programs.
