Overview
The MSU Student Venture Capital Fund (SVCF) is a collaboration between the MSU Research Foundation and the MSU Broad College of Business's Center for Venture Capital, Private Equity and Entrepreneurial Finance. It provides hands-on experience in venture capital investing for students, who conduct due diligence and make pre-seed investment recommendations for Michigan-based startups. The investment capital is deployed by Red Cedar Ventures, a venture investment subsidiary of the MSU Research Foundation. As of April 2025, the program has deployed over $320,000 into 32 companies.
