Overview
The National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA) is a combat support agency within the United States Department of Defense and a member of the U.S. Intelligence Community. NGA provides geospatial intelligence (GEOINT) to support national security objectives. GEOINT is the exploitation and analysis of imagery and geospatial information to describe, assess and visually depict physical features and geographically referenced activities on the Earth. NGA enables the U.S. intelligence community and the Department of Defense to fulfill the president's national security priorities to protect the nation.
