NHS Innovation Accelerator
Overview
The NHS Innovation Accelerator (NIA) is a national accelerator program in England that supports exceptional individuals ('Fellows') in scaling their mature, evidence-based innovations across the National Health Service (NHS). It is an NHS England initiative, delivered in partnership with the 15 Health Innovation Networks and hosted by UCLPartners. The program provides support through mentorship, peer learning, a bursary, and access to a network of NHS stakeholders to accelerate the adoption of innovations that benefit patients and the health system. The innovations cover areas like digital health, medical devices, and new models of care. While it does not make direct equity investments, it helps its fellows' companies raise external funding.
