Ocean Startup Project

The Ocean Startup Project is a pan-Canadian initiative established in 2020 to cultivate and support ocean technology startups. It functions as a collaborative accelerator, providing non-dilutive funding (grants), mentorship, and incubation programs to help early-stage companies address challenges in the ocean sector. The project was initiated and is primarily funded by Canada's Ocean Supercluster (OSC) in partnership with government agencies like the Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency (ACOA) and a network of regional innovation hubs. It runs programs like the Ocean Startup Challenge to award funds to promising innovators.
