Office of the NSW Chief Scientist and Engineer

The Office of the NSW Chief Scientist & Engineer (OCSE) is a New South Wales government body that provides independent scientific advice, supports research and development (R&D), and fosters industry growth through research commercialization. The office manages various competitive grant and funding programs to support these goals, such as the Physical Sciences Fund (PSF), the R&D Fund, and the Research Attraction and Acceleration Program (RAAP). These programs provide funding to companies, research institutes, and universities to develop and commercialize innovative products and technologies that benefit NSW. The grant provided to Lleaf in 2021 was part of the Physical Sciences Fund.
