Otium, also known as Otium Capital, is a private investment holding company founded in 2009 by Pierre-Édouard Stérin, the founder of Smartbox. It functions as a family office and invests long-term alongside entrepreneurs. The firm is structured into three main branches: Otium Investment (for thematic and sector-specific investments), Otium Partners (for creating and developing industry leaders), and Otium Studio (a startup studio). Otium's investment strategy is diversified, targeting sectors such as technology, industrials, leisure, real estate, healthcare, and consumer goods. As of December 2024, the firm reached €1.6 billion in assets under management. The firm's tech investment activities are now largely channeled through a dedicated vehicle named Resonance.
