Philips Foundation is a registered non-profit organization established in 2014 by Royal Philips. Its mission is to provide access to quality healthcare for underserved communities, aiming to improve 100 million lives annually by 2030. The foundation operates through two main arms: philanthropic activities (donations and in-kind support) and impact investing. Its social impact investment vehicle, Philips Foundation Impact Investments B.V., was established in 2021 to provide early-stage capital, including loans and equity, to social enterprises that have developed innovative, scalable healthcare solutions. The foundation focuses on areas like mother and child health, non-communicable disease detection, and emergency care.
