Overview
The Slovene Enterprise Fund (SEF) is a public financial fund and the central national financial institution in Slovenia for supporting micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), startups, and scaleups. Owned by the Republic of Slovenia, it aims to fill market gaps by providing a range of financial incentives including grants, guarantees for bank loans, microcredits, seed capital, and venture capital co-investments alongside private investors. In addition to financing, the fund offers non-financial support such as mentoring, training, and networking programs to foster the growth and development of the Slovenian entrepreneurial ecosystem.
