Purdue Research Foundation is a private, nonprofit foundation established in 1930 to advance the mission of Purdue University. The foundation manages gifts, endowments, intellectual property, and real estate, and actively promotes entrepreneurial activities. Through arms like Strategic Ventures (formerly Purdue Ventures), it invests in early-stage, Purdue-connected startups in sectors including agriculture, deep tech, digital tech, life sciences, and mobility. The foundation was an early investor in Adipo Therapeutics, a company developing treatments for obesity and Type 2 diabetes that originated from Purdue University research.
