Shanghai Pudong Science and Technology Innovation Group (Pudong Kechuang Group) is a state-owned enterprise established by the Pudong New Area government of Shanghai in June 1999. It is one of China's earliest government-funded venture capital institutions. The group functions as a venture capital and private equity investor, focusing on 'hard-core' technology industries such as integrated circuits, biomedicine, and high-end equipment. It operates through a model that integrates industrial investment (VC/PE, M&A), technology finance (guarantees, loans), and innovation complexes (incubators, accelerators). The group also serves as a key platform for government-guided funds and acts as a Limited Partner (LP) in various national and municipal funds.
