Pusa Krishi

Pusa Krishi is a government-backed agri-business incubator and innovation hub, established in 2014 as a special purpose initiative of the Indian Council of Agricultural Research – Indian Agricultural Research Institute (ICAR-IARI). It functions as the single nodal agency for the Ministry of Agriculture & Farmers' Welfare's RKVY-RAFTAAR scheme, aiming to foster innovation and entrepreneurship in agriculture. The organization supports startups by providing incubation, acceleration, mentorship, infrastructure access, and grant-in-aid funding rather than traditional equity investments. Its programs include 'ARISE' for early-stage startups with grants up to INR 5 lakhs and 'UPJA' for startups with a Minimum Viable Product, offering grants up to INR 25 lakhs.
